Independent Living Skills

Mansfield Hall helps students develop independent living skills in an integrated, high-quality residence “all under one roof”. Over the course of the program, students learn independent living skills such as scheduling, financial management, practical culinary skills, and collaborative-living, through active participation in the community.

Under the supervision of the Director of Student Life, they provide guidance and support throughout a student’s experience at Mansfield Hall. Student Life Coordinators are available to support students with their daily living needs, such as independent living skills, running errands, or planning social events. Our team is attuned to all of the activities in and around the area and closely monitors each student’s schedule throughout the day. Mansfield Hall utilizes a high student to staff ratio to ensure that all students’ needs are met.

We believe that students learn best through modeling and developing natural supports over time. We provide fellowship opportunities for talented local college students to participate and reside in Mansfield Hall. Fellows participate in events and provide natural supports and modeling for our students. This truly diverse
community provides lifelong lessons for all of our participating residents.
