Deb received her master’s degree in education from Northern Illinois University and her doctorate in special education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Recently she also received a master’s degree in mental health counseling. Much of her background and experience has focused on inclusive education. Her work has included serving students with diverse learning needs in both public schools and college settings. Additionally, she has worked collaboratively with parents to obtain the services required by their learner’s academic/social needs. Finally, she worked a number of years at a crisis stabilization center serving clients diagnosed with mental health and/or drug and alcohol dependency issues. During her free time Deb enjoys her family, pets, reading, and the great outdoors.
