Katie is a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist with extensive knowledge and experience in social cognition and communication, language processing, and executive function. She received her Bachelors in Education and Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Vermont. Over the past two decades Katie has worked in educational, residential, home-based, and private practice settings. She strives to break down and explicitly teach the nuances and complexities of successful independent living skills. Her approach focuses on brain-based learning, motivation and interests, different learning modalities and styles, and coaching that empowers individuals to increase knowledge, confidence and independence. When not working, Katie enjoys spending time with her family. Her passions include downhill skiing, mountain biking, and reading.
