Scott Carlson, M.A.T.

Scott Carlson graduated from the University of Vermont in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. He was originally planning on veterinary school, but experiences working at the local Humane Society in South Burlington supporting people and helping with educational programs inspired him to pursue a career in science education. After a year working as a para-educator, he entered the Middle Level Masters of Arts in Teaching Program at the University of Vermont and graduated in 2017. On the side he enjoys working with students with disabilities in their homes as a personal care attendant, pet sitting, and working at Mansfield Hall. He loves everything Burlington has to offer like the natural beauty, good food, great art, and friendly people. In his free time he is most likely to be found listening to music, DJing, dancing, cooking, playing outside, hanging out with his silly cats, or making art.
