Bessie is passionate about empowering young folks to honor their intersecting identities while advocating for themselves, their goals, and their desires. She graduated with her B.S. in Communication from Champlain College in May of 2018 and finds human communication a fascinating and complicated thing that she is always eager to practice. Before joining the Mansfield Hall team, she worked with youth facing homelessness and co-occurring disorders. In her free time, Bessie loves to spend time enjoying some of the funkier spots in Burlington – seeing comedy shows, going to spoken word poetry events, theater, and live music.
