Shae grew up in the Chicago suburbs before moving to Burlington. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 2017 where she studied Sociology and Psychological Sciences. While at UVM, Shae was a Teaching Assistant in the Sociology department, participated in a co-ed service organization called Alpha Phi Omega, and interned with the American Lung Association. Throughout high school, she worked for a organization that facilitated recreational activities for children and adults with cognitive, developmental, and physical disabilities. This, combined with her first hand experience navigating higher education with a disability, drew Shae to Mansfield Hall. Outside of work, Shae enjoys hiking, reading, playing violin, and riding her bike.
