What Is Mansfield Hall?
Mansfield Hall is The Super Dorm for college students.
Mansfield Hall is a living and learning community for college students.
Mansfield Hall is An Idea – The idea that all kinds of young people have the right to build a meaningful life for themselves, and that with the right academic, social, and independent living skill support, and engagement in a community, the college experience can be a great place for students to thrive.
Mansfield Hall is a place where people are celebrated for exactly who they are as they are in the process of becoming who they will be.
Mansfield Hall is where college students can find a safe and supportive place to land, as well as a place where they are provided the extra benefit of a longer runway so that they can generate the momentum, speed, and lift required to be able to take off and fly on their own.
Mansfield Hall is a Community. A community of students, parents, and professionals who are passionately committed to helping students find a Sense of Safety, a Sense of Self, and a Sense of Purpose, and who work tirelessly to help students build the critical skills of Self Monitoring, Self Advocacy, and Applied Executive Functioning.
Mansfield Hall is Even More College Than College.
Community Is At The Center Of Everything We Do
Mansfield Hall is a living and learning community which provides residential, academic, executive functioning, social, and independent living skill support to students who are going to college.
We are not the degree-granting institution, but all of our students are taking classes at one of our local colleges
Located in Burlington, VT, Madison, WI, and Eugene, OR – and a Study Abroad option in Reading, UK – our students come to us from around the world in order to be a part of a comprehensive residential living and learning community which provides not only social connection but also integrated holistic support to facilitate their transition into college, independence, and healthy interdependence as emerging young adults.
Mansfield Hall students can attend any one of our local schools.
Each site offers:
Although they are welcome to pursue a traditional admissions track at one of the local schools, Mansfield Hall students DO NOT need to formally apply to, or be accepted at, our local schools in order to make the Mansfield Hall decision and start their college path by taking real college classes on the local college campus, for real college credit, right away.
We encourage you to explore our website and watch the videos, as well as connect with us to learn more about how we work with students, and local schools, to support a successful college experience.
OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES:
Mansfield Hall Believes
We`re so lucky to have an incredible team of staff across our three locations, and we want to highlight them!
Starting with Naomi, one of our Madison based Academic Directors.
October is ADHD Awareness Month- let`s talk about it.
ADHD isn’t just about being “hyperactive” or “distracted” - it’s about how the brain manages attention, motivation, and regulation.
At Mansfield Hall, we help students understand their own unique ADHD profiles and develop personalized strategies for success! #adhd #adhdawareness #adhdsupport #adhdcoach #neurodivergent #neurodivergentcommunity
Due to an unfortunate drought that Vermont has been experiencing this summer, Lake Champlain is down to levels we haven’t seen since 1934.
It’s not all bad news though! Because of this we were able to Law Island- usually only accessible by kayak, it was a great adventure 🚣♂️
Still reminiscing about last weekend 🍎.
Our Burlington campus had the pleasure of welcoming families for parents weekend- a time for parents to visit with their students, see what they’ve been up to, and spend some quality time together.
We were lucky to have a perfect fall weekend which included apple picking at Shelburne Orchards.
Parents, it was a pleasure to have you!
Friday recap incoming!
Our Eugene students have been busy soaking up the gorgeous weather with a hike up Skinners Butte and a trip to the Natural History Museum.
Madison students had themselves a milkshake party in amongst classes, homework, and everything else.
Burlington students are kicking off parents weekend this morning- more to come!
Students, what are you looking forward to this weekend?
This week we had the pleasure of celebrating our (now former) Mansfield Hall student Noah.
We got to hear his spin on some songs, enjoyed cake, and had a generally merry time.
Congratulations on graduating with your Associate`s in Design and Media Studies and your certificate in Digital Media Production- we can`t wait to see what you do next 🎓
