Mansfield Hall was founded on the belief that increasing access increases outcomes – and nothing could be more true for our Semester Abroad students.

Study Abroad provides students the opportunity to study at the University of Reading, located in Reading, England, just 30 minutes from both London and Oxford, by train.

Just like our US-based locations, Reading offers an inviting, accessible, and walkable university town, as well as easy access to a host of educational, cultural, and social opportunities.

While students take classes at the University, they are supported not only by their team in England, but also their team of Mansfield Hall professionals stateside. Students have full access to the dorms, dining halls, student activities, and coursework at the University.

Semester Abroad students will also participate in supported cultural travel and exploration, in conjunction with their semester abroad. Nearby sites include London, Oxford, Cambridge, Stonehenge, and Windsor, among others.

In addition to comprehensive support from Mansfield Hall, Study Abroad students also work closely with University of Reading’s Study Abroad Program Office, and the entire program has been developed in conjunction with Dr. Bishmadev Chakrabarti, Research Director at the Centre for Autism.

Mansfield Hall Study Abroad provides our students access to the normative experience of international travel, studying abroad, and exploring new cultures, all while also providing Academic, Executive Functioning, Pro-Social, and Independent Living Support.

Students do not need to have completed a term at Mansfield Hall to be eligible for a Semester Abroad, but they do need to have the demonstrated adaptive skills to manage student life at The University of Reading.

Study Abroad Tuition: $50,000/Semester – Includes room, board, support, services, and coursework tuition at The University of Reading.
