Kirstin Bowns

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, MADISON

Kirstin holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education Student Affairs from Western Michigan University. Before joining Mansfield Hall, Kirstin was the Executive Director of Noel Manor Retirement Living in Verona, Wisconsin, providing residential support and healthcare services for two assisted living and memory care facilities, serving over 140 individuals. Kirstin brings with her 12 years of experience working directly with college students, supporting their diverse needs and goals. Kirstin has worked with the University of Wisconsin System in student success, serving all 13 UW schools and their students. Kirstin has also worked in Residence Life, student conduct, Reclaim the W that provides support and pathways to graduation for students that have previously been academically dismissed, and CAMP (College Assistance Migrant Program) that provides resources and support to migrant farmworkers and their children navigating college as first-generation students. Kirstin is passionate about developing greater accessibility within higher education with innovative resources for student success and is committed to creating opportunities and support systems for all learners. In her free time, Kirstin enjoys volunteering with Madison Cat Project, gardening, engaging in diversity, equity, and inclusion work, and playing recreational volleyball.
