Michael Clasen

FACILITIES & PROGRAM SUPPORT DIRECTOR, BURLINGTON

Michael comes to Mansfield Hall with a varied background including most recently having retired after 30 years of executive management experience in several departments of Vermont State Government.  Raised along the banks of the Mississippi River in Eastern Iowa, Michael graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Communication Studies and Gerontology.  After a brief stint with the State of Iowa, he moved to Arizona where he managed supportive contracts and services at an Area Agency on Aging.  From the Southwest desert, he moved to the Pacific island region of Micronesia where he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer teaching ESL and health education on several remote islands.  Michael is excited to help fulfill the Mansfield Hall mission and enjoys the diversity of his dual roles as Facilities Coordinator and Connections Coach.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his two daughters, working on his 210-year-old house in North Hero, getting his hands dirty as a potter, and playing with rocks on his Lake Champlain shoreline.

Last but certainly not least, Eugene students!
