Tanner Hilbish, MSW

ASSOCIATE SITE DIRECTOR, STUDENT LIFE

Tanner earned his B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Vermont. After exploring several career paths, he found his way to Mansfield Hall in 2017, where he spent several years as a Life Skills Coach. In this role, he worked closely with students to build healthy habits across a range of life skills, with a special focus on social communication and emotional regulation.

During this time, Tanner developed a passion for Restorative Practices and created Mansfield Hall’s College Relationships Seminar. His work with students inspired him to pursue a Master’s in Social Work, during which he provided therapy for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Tanner went on to serve as Mansfield Hall’s Director of Social Emotional Learning, where he developed and facilitated a comprehensive SEL curriculum implemented across all three Mansfield Hall locations. In this role, he focused on interpersonal effectiveness, relationship development, emotional regulation, and overall student well-being.

Now in his role as Associate Site Director of Student Life, Tanner continues to support students in building meaningful relationships, developing independent living skills, and thriving within a vibrant and supportive community.

Outside of work, Tanner enjoys skiing in the winter, exploring swimming holes in the summer, and laughing as much as he possibly can.

Last but certainly not least, Eugene students!
